Hello! I'm Jackie, the one and only behind all of the bittersweet creations.
My interest with thread started at a young age when I would go thrift shopping. As someone who liked clothing way too big for her, I learned how to seam then explored other techniques with thread. I am a self-taught embroidery artist, and I set up Bittersweet Embroidery to provide accessible handmade pieces that you can enjoy every day.
My work is inspired by my love of music, nature and the beauty in darkness. I design, embroider, and assemble every single one of my products completely by hand in Los Angeles, California. Each item is one of a kind.
